Blue J Financial was created to provide startups, small businesses, and not-for-profit organizations with affordable, efficient, and on-demand Accounting, Tax, and Finance support based out of Austin, Texas. We understand the need for services within the small business market. Sarah Chu, CPA
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Sarah Chu is a co-founder of Blue J Financial and has over 11 years of experience in various finance and accounting roles within the oil and gas industry at S&P 500 companies. She began her career in public accounting with PwC. Sarah specializes in operational and technical accounting with an emphasis on revenue recognition, FP&A, and financial process and controls improvement. She earned her BBA and MPA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. Sarah enjoys connecting with people and making a difference in her community, and she served as a volunteer bookkeeper and treasurer at her church. She is committed to contributing to the success of each client in the hopes that supporting healthy and thriving businesses will support healthy and thriving communities.
Chris Sun, MBA
Board of Advisors
Chris Sun spent the first 5 years of his career in consulting, working at a global, publicly-traded firm, Charles River Associates, prior to joining a successful startup as one of its first consultants. He’s since gone to work in the energy industry in various corporate finance roles over the past 7 years specializing in FP&A, reporting, financial modeling, and evaluating and developing investment projects ranging from $1M to $4B in scale. Chris graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance and minor in Accounting. He also earned his MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Chris is passionate about startups, building and optimizing businesses, and advancing social causes.
